The Highland Soap Co. is a wonderful family-run business which makes soap and skincare products. The company is based in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, its products are among my guilty pleasures and they are one of my favourite Scottish brands.
I love their amazing products which are handmade in their workshop which looks out across The Great Glen, and the shadows of the north face of Ben Nevis.
As the brand states on its website “...the soap is handmade by a centuries-old, traditional process using only the purest and finest natural ingredients.”
I recently purchased my favourite hand wash, Lemongrass and Ginger. The delight of ordering this during the recent lockdown certainly warmed my heart and made me feel that although no shops were open and I couldn’t drive down to Fort William due to quarantine restrictions, in just a few clicks my favourite hand wash was en route to me.
When my parcel arrived quickly and safely, I was really impressed how carefully and neatly packed my order was. Even the packaging was plant based to protect my order. Really eco friendly.
In this new normal we find ourselves in, where we’re told constantly to wash our hands, what better time to dip your mitts into this luxuriousand indulgent soap.
When you apply even a small amount onto your hands you’re immediately greeted with the sweet and calming smell of the lemongrass and as you work up a lather it’s followed by generous hints of ginger. The soap leaves my hands not only moisturised but baby soft. If you’re looking to indulge yourself and make hand washing time that little more special or you can’t find the right gift for someone, I would highly recommend this company’s products.
Exciting times for the company which is finally able to re-open today following the COVID-19 lockdown. To learn more about my favourite Highland Soap Company check out their websitehere:
